Relax we make it easy!
What's your pricing like?
Most studios have to charge by the hour because they only have a vague idea of how long a production
will take, and what their costs will be. That's why so many studios provide unrealistically low estimates
when providing an initial estimate. We know exactly how long it's going to take, what needs to be
accomplished, and how to accomplish it. We treat our prices as firm commitments rather than fuzzy
estimates. Our clients tend to like that.
The Basic Packages start at $499 to feature one person in a 2-4 minute video. This price-point includes everything necessary to produce the video, titles, music beds, logos, contact information, and a call to action at the end. Note that on the FastTrack, you primarily have a single window of time to request any changes to your video, that's the 24 hour free window after we deliver a finished product. This is perfect for most FastTrack clients. If you want more changes beyond that 24 hour window, then we switch to hourly billing (more like a typical production studio), and we'll continue working at $120 per studio hour.
Basic Package videos can only feature one person, if you want to put more people into a video it has to go on the Advanced package.
The Advanced Packages start at $995 and can be customized to fit your needs. This pricepoint includes everything necessary to produce the video, titles, music bed, logos, contact information, and a call to action at the end. Unlike the FastTrack, the Interactive process costs more primarily because it provides more opportunity and extended timelines for client directing and tweaking throughout the production. There is no "24 hour window" in the Interactive, we expect a few changes (included in the price) leading up to the finished product.
Why have a flat rate, why not an hourly rate like most studios?

Why should I pay to produce a video for my website when plain text is cheap?
Because online video is good at getting and the holding the attention of your prospective customers, increasing the odds of communicating a message that resonates with their needs.
...which leads to persuasion, conversion rate, and profit. Simple :=)

Why is it important for businesses to have a promotional video on their website?
Video is sticky. Website visitors are usually in a click-and-skip mentality, bouncing from one site to the next until they find something relevant and / or interesting.
Video gives people another reason to stick around and spend more time on the site, increasing time-on-site and (if the video's message is good) increasing the conversion rate.
Quick caveat. A "promotional video" is actually more valuable outside of the website. That's where the exposure gained through promoting a business will be more effective. This happens on TV, blogs, ad-networks, YouTube, etc.
But once a person is already on a website, it's time to lay down the bullhorn and start connecting with the visitor. Simply by visiting the website, a person has already expressed their interest in the business. A full blown promotional effort at that point is counterproductive and annoying, like a jewelry store playing their radio ads in the showroom.
When it comes to video on your website, the video should be less about advertising yourself, and more about providing an insightful and relevant experience for the viewer.
How do I get started making my video?
Easy! Call us up at (202) 596-1547. Or shoot us an email at sales@skmediagroup.com.

The studio session takes less than a couple hours, and before you leave we've already agreed on a delivery date for you to review the rough draft video.
